Students will use tape measures to measure the lengths of shadows cast by yardsticks at two to three different times of the day. They will record length and direction of shadows and the time of day when measurements were taken. Lastly, they will find the latitude and longitude of the school where the data were gathered and use the lesson's Data Form to make comparisons of shadow lengths from other locations.
